How can I qualify for Worlds?

To qualify for Worlds, you’ll need to do one of the following:

Within Asia (except Japan and South Korea)

Hong Kong (separate circuits for English and Chinese), India (GO and UNITE only), Indonesia, Macau (UNITE and TCG only), Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, and Thailand

As of May 2023

VG

  • Be one of the top players at the region/country’s Championships (exact number of spots varies based on region/country) (champion will get a Day 2 invite)

TCG

  • Be one of the top players at the region/country’s Championships (exact number of spots varies based on region/country) (champion will get a Day 2 invite)
  • Have among the most amount of CSP (Championship Points) in your age league (exact number of spots varies based on region/country), with a minimum of 200 CSP

GO

  • Be one of the top players at your Regional Playoffs (exact number of spots varies based on region/country)

UNITE

  • Be one of the top teams at your Regional Playoffs (exact number of spots varies based on region/country)

Japan

As of May 2023

VG

  • Reach Top 64 in the Japan Championships (Top 8 get a Day 2 invite, Top 4 get a travel award)

TCG

  • Reach Top 4 in your age league at a Champions League
  • Have among the most amount of CSP (Championship Points) in your age league at the end of June (top 30 for Junior, top 30 for Senior, top 40 for Masters)
  • Reach Top 8 (Top 16 for Masters) in your age league at the Japan Championships to get a Day 2 invite (Top 4 in each age league will get a travel award for transportation and accommodations)

GO

  • Be one of the top players at the Japan Championships

UNITE

  • Be one of the top 4 teams at the Japan Championships

South Korea

As of May 2023

VG

  • Reach Top 16 in your age division in the Pokémon Trainers Cup (Top 4 will get a Day 2 invite and accommodation, Top 2 get travel award)

TCG

  • Reach Top 17 in your age division (Top 21 for Masters) in points for the Korean League (Top 4 get Day 2 invite)

GO

  • Be one of the top players at your Regional Playoffs (exact number of spots varies based on region/country)

UNITE

  • Be one of the top 2 teams at the Regional Playoffs

Outside of Asia

As of November 2023

VG

  • Reach a certain amount of Championship Points (CP) during the season. The exact amount of CP required varies based on age division and rating zone – see Pokemon.com for a full breakdown.
  • Win a Regional Championships or Special Event
  • Place in the top two players at an International Championships

TCG

  • Reach a certain amount of Championship Points (CP) during the season. The exact amount of CP required varies based on age division and rating zone – see Pokemon.com for a full breakdown.
  • Win a Regional Championships or Special Event
  • Place in the top two players at an International Championships

GO
